| On Thursday March 15, 2018, St. Clair College @ Ace Acumen Academy had its Winter 2018 Professional Development Meeting. Faculty members from all programs, along with Academic Department staff, reflected on and discussed successes and challenges faced in the first half of the semester. In addition to the discussion and sharing of teaching methodologies and classroom management strategies, a workshop was delivered by Prof. Jim Spencer. The topic of the workshop was Plagiarism – the definition of it, strategies and interventions for its prevention. Overall, the meeting was very beneficial as it provided a platform for instructors to meet and share their backgrounds, discuss challenges that they may have encountered, and share effective teaching strategies with one another. At the end of the meeting a grade entry and midterm review was conducted by the Associate Director of Academics. |
