Careers Fair 2023

Students gathered today at the Brampton campus to take part in this years Career Fair. We held interviews with companies such as One Kenton Place, TD Bank, Probus, York Hills CIK, Bloom, Logixx Security, and Ace Acumen I.T. Over 50 students were interviewed at this event with 5 confirmed hires, we are eager to increase this number. Our Careers coordinator, Mitch, is always looking to help you succeed in your future. Ace Acumen Academy’s 10 year Celebration

Ace Acumen Academy celebrated their 10^th anniversary this year, we are thankful for those individuals and organizations that have been dedicated supporters of the College in this time. We are grateful for their commitment to the success of Ace Acumen Academy. Today we were able to celebrate and share our appreciation along with St. Clair College. Our President John Wu says “When I look back over the years and think about how many students have passed through our doors, spending some of their formative years with us. To date we have graduated 9,706 students! What an accomplishment to celebrate, but no one could make this happen on their own.” This is true, we cannot be successful without the help of our community. Ace Acumen is excited to see where the next 10 years bring us.

Fall 2023 Convocation

We are proud to announce that 873 students have graduated from Ace Acumen Academy this spring 2023. Today wasn’t just about celebrating their graduation day, it was about sharing the success with their loved ones and reflecting on their time here at our college. We are proud to call each and every one of you an alumni, we are saint’s strong and want to continue to aid in your success. Fall 2023 Orientation

Last week we held our Fall 2023 Orientation. Orientation is a great resource for new students starting at Ace Acumen Academy. Whether you had travelled here recently or had been in Canada for a couple months, this was a great opportunity to meet new people and connect with the staff before your first day. This day helps you get prepared at a new environment, as well as what you could expect from both your life on campus and off campus. Student VIP was here to support you and answer any questions about your insurance policies. There were many booths at orientation to explain all the resources that are available to you. Don’t worry, you can find all the information on our website under the ‘Orientation’ tab. We cannot wait to see the new students flourish as the year continues.

Cross Campus Cricket Tournament

The Saints Student Athletic Association hosted the third annual Cross Campus Cricket Cup, Friday July 7th on the Cricket Ground at Jackson Park in Windsor. Students representing three different St. Clair College Campuses plus Ace Acumens Academy came out to enjoy a full day of Cricket and compete for the Cup on a perfectly sunny Windsor day.

There were five matches played throughout the day, featuring St. Clair’s Windsor Campus, Downtown Campus, and Acumen’s Campus. Our team travelled down from Toronto region to compete. Games were closely contested all day, as players competed and supported their fellow Saints from the sidelines.

In the end, a rematch of the previous year’s final saw Windsor Campus face Downtown Campus in the most exciting match of the day. Not only that but for the first time in the event’s history, the championship game turned out to be an ultra-rare 70-70 draw, crowning both campuses as this year’s co-Champions. Acumens Team gave it their all, we will get them next year!

Orientation Spring/Summer 2023

Last week we held our Spring 2023 Orientation at all three of our campuses. (Toronto, Brampton, and Mississauga) These orientations are a great opportunity to help our students who have travelled here from all over the world to learn about the college and meet some of the important people who work at the college. Help them get prepared on their new environment, as well as what they can expect from both their academic life on campus, and their own life off campus. It was great to see so many new faces, as our halls were filled with freshman looking to learn about all the services the college offers like our tutoring, career services, and athletics. We even had our insurance provider Student VIP show up to answer any questions students had about their insurance policies. Students travelled around each of the orientations and visited each booth tracking it all on their orientation passport, once a student visited all the booths they could then enter that passport into a raffle to win some Apple Air Pods. Overall it was a great experience to know that these students have taken their first step to success here at Ace Acumen Academy.

Ace Acumen Table Tennis Tournement

On February 10th 2023, Ace Acumen Academy held its first annual Table Tennis Tournament that was hosted at the North York and Brampton campus. Contestants were made up of all three campuses and competed in head-to-head matches to determine the winner of each respected campus. The two finalists represented the Mississauga as well as the North York campus. The winner Rajdeep Chauhun displayed his abilities at an elite level throughout the tournament and matched up against Nikhil Bhanot in the final match.

Orientation Winter 2023

At the start of each semester, Ace Acumen holds an orientation session for new students. Post pandemic, we are now welcoming students in person to each of our campuses. This year new students were invited to drop in and visit booths to meet staff from various departments in person, and ask them questions directly, to set themselves up for success. Students were invited to participate in a passport program and collect stamps once they visited each booth. At the end of the orientation the students could submit the completed passport for a chance to win a pair of Apple Airpods. We had a great turnout, and it was great to see everyone interacting. We wish all the best to our new incoming students this semester!
