St. Clair College Celebrates Academic Excellence at Spring 2024…

On May 22nd, St. Clair College hosted its Spring 2024 Academic Awards Banquet in Chatham, Ontario, to honor the outstanding achievements of its students. This year’s banquet recognized the academic excellence and leadership of students from Ace Acumen.

The award recipients were celebrated with a special luncheon where they received their awards. The event highlighted the dedication and hard work of these exceptional students.

Earth Day at Acumen

The Student Services Team at the Mississauga Campus hosted a community cleanup in celebration of Earth Day. Students and staff teamed together to minimize litter across campus. Additionally, students celebrated Earth Day by getting creative with their artwork and reminding others to make a positive impact within the College as well as the community. Let’s continue to work together in making Earth Day every day!

Ace Acumen Annual Scholarship Ceremony

Last night, the Brampton campus of Ace Acumen Academy was ablaze with celebration as they hosted their annual scholarship ceremony. Fifty outstanding students were honored for their exceptional achievements in categories like student leadership, the prestigious President’s Award, and the coveted StudentVIP Award.

It was an evening filled with warmth and recognition, providing a perfect opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to reconnect and applaud the hard work and dedication demonstrated by these talented individuals throughout their time at Ace Acumen Academy.

International Women’s Day

Every March 8th, the world recognizes International Women’s Day. It’s a day to celebrate the accomplishments of women and recognize women’s social, economic, cultural and political achievements. In light of International Women’s Day, Mississauga Campus had hosted a “Women Empowerment Workshop” which explored topics such as female empowerment, the importance of sisterhood, but most importantly, raising awareness about women’s equality and inclusion. The workshop included activities, inspiring affirmations, open discussion and a self-care package with basic necessities that was provided to all attendees. 

While women’s rights and gender equality are always important topics to learn about, days such as International Women’s Day are opportunities for more focused education and awareness.

Cricket Finals

Last night’s showdown at the Mississauga Cricket League finals had everyone on the edge of their seats as Ace Acumen Academy went head-to-head with the Fallingbrook Falcons. Amongst the eleven competing teams, Ace Acumen received an admirable second place. The match was a rollercoaster of excitement, with both teams displaying impressive skills and sportsmanship. Their performance not only entertained the spectators but also set a high bar for future competitions. Hats off to both teams for delivering an unforgettable night of cricket action!

56th Annual Convocation

February 20th, 2024 marked a significant milestone as the 56th annual convocation unfolded at the prestigious Meridian Arts Center in North York. Amidst three distinguished sessions, the spotlight shone on the current graduates, celebrating their remarkable achievements. Additionally, Ace Acumen Academy celebrated a momentous achievement as they welcomed their 10,000th graduate, Manisha, who successfully completed the Computer Systems Technician – Networking program. However, the occasion was bittersweet as it also marked the final convocation ceremony for St. Clair College President, Dr. Patti France. With her retirement on the horizon, this convocation serves as a poignant farewell to her impactful tenure. Congratulations Graduates, we wish you all the best in your future endeavors

Amidst Mental Health Awareness Week, our campus is embracing a unique approach to well-being with a Paint Therapy Session led by our compassionate mental health coordinator, Sam.

Recognizing the power of artistic expression in fostering mental wellness, participants are invited to find solace in strokes of color and creativity. This session aims to provide a safe space to brush away stress, unlock inner creativity, and paint a brighter, more mindful tomorrow together.

Punjabi Community Health Service Visits Acumen

During our recent Mental Health Awareness Week, we had the privilege of hosting Punjabi Community Health Service. Led by Harpreet and her dedicated team, they shared invaluable insights on how their services can benefit our students’ well-being. What’s more, they graciously stayed to engage with students at a booth, providing opportunities for Q&A and offering additional information. It was a fantastic opportunity for our college community to learn and connect.
