Vaccine Requirements for On-Campus Teaching and Learning Activities –…

Ace Acumen at St. Clair College will follow government guidance related to COVID-19 safety protocols and measures.  We will not mandate vaccinations for on-campus teaching and learning activities unless directed by appropriate government agencies, however, Ace Acumen at St. Clair College encourages all students to receive their COVID-19 vaccines as soon as they are eligible.  We will continue to implement and enforce safety protocols as outlined by the Ministry of Health for post-secondary institutions.  We have strong safety protocols in place currently and will continue with those until a change is permitted or required.  Additional communication on safety protocols will be sent to students and posted on our webpage once we have more information from the Ministry.

Please be advised that the College’s third-party partners (e.g. placement agencies, co-op employers, and service providers) may have different standards and COVID-19 safety measures in place.  Ace Acumen at St. Clair College has no oversight over its partners’ standards and COVID-19 safety measures and compliance with those standards and COVID-19 safety measures will be the responsibility of the student.

In this week’s video, we are glad to have Eun, student advisor from the Toronto campus, joining us to share her experience at St. Clair College at Ace Acumen Academy. Eun has been supporting the students in many ways for your successful college experience. Acting as a student advisor and tutoring session coordinator at the same time. Also, she is an adventurer who loves travelling and share her experience with others! So, without any further ado, let us hear what Eun has to say!

In this week’s video, we are glad to have our Associate Campus Director at the Toronto campus, Danielle Drouin, joining us to share her experience at St. Clair College at Ace Acumen Academy. Danielle is not a typical student advisor – she’s actually the advisor of student advisors. She is the one we report to. In this video, you will find that Danielle is such an easygoing and nice person; however, she also sends all the warning letters to students who need to be alerted: so many times Danielle had to play the “bad cop” role. According to Danielle, that wasn’t an easy thing to do! So without any further ado, let’s hear what the boss has to say!

National Indigenous Heritage Month

Hello Saints,
June commemorates National Indigenous Heritage Month. This is a time for everyone to reflect upon and learn the history, cultures, contributions, and strength of First Nations, Inuit, and Metis people. Indigenous Peoples need to celebrate their history because doing so helps to stop the loss and grow their cultures. Celebrating their history invigorates pride in being Indigenous and maintains the preservation of their cultures, protocols, spirituality, traditions, and languages.

Stress During Midterms

With midterms fast approaching, we understand that stress is at an all time high!  Stress and feelings of anxiety during this time is totally normal and your Acumen team will do their best to support you!

Happy Pride Month!

June is PRIDE month. This is an opportunity for us to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community. 
 
Ace Acumen supports and promotes respect and inclusivity! This month is intended to encourage honesty and openness about LQBTQ+ pride, and a reminder that we are free to love whomever we want.

As professional as she is, Dorothy was an international student, just like you! Dorothy graduated from the University of Windsor with a Master’s in Education. Orientation Spring 2021 – St. Clair College @ Acumen

Hello Saints!

This week, Acumen staff hosted multiple orientation sessions for our new 1st semester students who will be joining us in Spring 2021. Students had the opportunity to chat with our admissions and management team, and meet their advisors for the upcoming semester!

We know that new students have many questions about their new College experience and coming to Canada, and we are glad so many students attended! Students were given the opportunity to ask questions, and clear some of the doubts that they have been having.

We hope that these sessions were helpful in allowing students to be prepared for the start of the semester! Our job is to help you be successful. If you are still unsure, or have some questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Remember, the Spring 2021 semester starts on Monday May 10th! We look forward to another great semester with all of our students.
