Together to Protect Against Racism

2020 has been one tough year so far, however with our learning, commitment and resiliency we will all come out through these tough times wiser and better than we were before.
All over the news we have been hearing about the racism that is happening all over North America and the world and the protests that are on going to end the racism.
The message we want everyone to know at Acumen is that we are all in this together. The world has come together to protect against racism. Students, wherever you are, treat everybody equally and respectfully, and in this way, we can do out parts to help end racism.
Thank you and stay safe everyone,

Virtual Jack Talk

Taking Care of Yourself First

One of the most important things in life, not only in normal times, but especially now during the COVID-19 pandemic we are navigating together, is mental health and taking care of ourselves first. At Acumen we promote good mental health.

Acumen has reached out to JackTalk.org and we have acquired a virtual Jack Talk. JackTalk.org empowers young people to educate themselves around mental health and take care of themselves and each other as best as they can. All students were sent the below link where they found the Virtual Jack Talk that they completed on their own from the comfort of their homes.

If you are reading this now, you can also click on the link and participate in the virtual Jack Talk. There are wonderful engagement tasks that will allow you to benefit further from the talk itself.

Remember, take care of yourself and your mental health first, and together we will get through this pandemic and be stronger then ever.
Stay safe,

-Acumen

Selfies Video

During these unprecedented times, people in Canada are staying home in quarantine to help stop the spread of COVID-19. The health and safety of our students is very important to Ace Acumen. We encourage everyone to participate in social distancing. While following these practices, we still want students to participate in fun activities virtually. Acumen students and staff have shared with us who they are spending their quarantine with. From pets to family, to laptops, our students and staff are keeping positive during this time and still finding ways to have fun! Thank you to everyone who participated and enjoy the video!
