Orientation Spring 2021 – St. Clair College @ Acumen
Hello Saints!
This week, Acumen staff hosted multiple orientation sessions for our new 1st semester students who will be joining us in Spring 2021. Students had the opportunity to chat with our admissions and management team, and meet their advisors for the upcoming semester!
We know that new students have many questions about their new College experience and coming to Canada, and we are glad so many students attended! Students were given the opportunity to ask questions, and clear some of the doubts that they have been having.
We hope that these sessions were helpful in allowing students to be prepared for the start of the semester! Our job is to help you be successful. If you are still unsure, or have some questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Remember, the Spring 2021 semester starts on Monday May 10th! We look forward to another great semester with all of our students.
Stay Safe

Federal government suspends flights from India and Pakistan for…
International students from India and Pakistan scheduled to arrive in Canada in the upcoming weeks will not be allowed to travel for the next 30 days, following the federal government’s announcement Thursday suspending flights from those countries amid surging COVID-19 cases.
The government’s order, effective at 11:30 p.m. April 22, covers commercial and private passenger flights. Passengers arriving to Canada from these countries via indirect route after the order takes effect will need to obtain a negative COVID-19 pre-departure test at their last point of departure.
The COVID-19 immigration regulations permit International students to continue their programs of study remotely from their home country until December 31, 2021. The temporary travel restrictions will not adversely affect the education of those students or their ability to obtain a work permit.

Acumen has seen many students come and go from our College and we are so proud of all of our graduates.
We have gathered some of our students to discuss their experience at Acumen and share some advice on how to succeed at Acumen. Many of our students have gone on to begin careers in their field. If you are ever wondering about the services we offer at Acumen, take a look at the video of some of our 4th semester and graduated students. They were once where you were, and can offer some great advice. We hope you enjoy it!
